Tapahtuman kuvaus
Luontoretki alkaa kotipihaltamme Inarin Tirrosta, Muotkatunturin erämaa-alueen reunamilta. Retkellä tutustumme pohjoisen havumetsävyöhykkeen eli taigan lintu- ja kasvilajistoon.
Lähialueen aihkimänniköt ovat jopa Lapin mittakaavassa ikivanhoja karujen hiekkakankaiden luppometsiä, joissa viihtyvät niin kuukkelit, lapintiaiset kuin metsotkin. Niitä pirstovat suot ja metsälammet lisäävät elinympäristöjen ja lajiston monimuotoisuutta alueella. Soilla tutustumme linnuista erityisesti kahlaajiin ja kasvilisuuden osalta kiehtovaan suokasvillisuuteen. Syyskesä on lintujen osalta jo hiljaista aikaa Lapissa. Silloin retken teemoihin kuuluvat myös sienet, marjat ja niiden käyttö.
Retken päätteeksi keittelemme nokipannukahvit kodallamme ja makustelemme retken antimia.

Tietoa järjestäjästä - AT NATURE
Työmme ja harrastuksemme ovat liittyneet Lapin luontoon jo yli 15 vuoden ajan ja perustimme AT Naturen voidaksemme tarjota elämyksellistä luontotietoa kaikille pohjoisen luonnosta kiinnostuneille vieraillemme. Retkillämme perehdytään Lapin luontoon ja sen yksityiskohtiin paikallisen biologin opastuksella. Pienissä ryhmissä (2-6 hlö) tai yksityisinä toteutetut retket lisäävät hyvinvointia ja auttavat palautumaan arkikiireistä.
Olemme ensimmäinen yritys Inari-Saariselän alueella, jolle Visit Finland on myöntänyt Sustainable Travel -merkin. Lisäksi meillä on ECEAT Finland (Suomen luomumatkailuyhdistys) -sertifikaatti.

Erityisvaatimukset asiakkaalle
* Pukeudu sään mukaan ja käytä mieluummin kumisaappaita tai vedenpitäviä vaelluskenkiä (suo-osuuksia varten). Kävelemme noin 3 tuntia.
* Suosittelemme ottamaan mukaan oman kameran ja/tai kiikarit.
* Hyttysiä ja mäkäriä on eniten juhannuksesta elokuun puoliväliin. Lainaamme tarvittaessa hyttyshattuja kävelyn ajaksi.
* Lasten on oltava aikuisen seurassa.
* Suosittelemme ottamaan mukaan oman kameran ja/tai kiikarit.
* Hyttysiä ja mäkäriä on eniten juhannuksesta elokuun puoliväliin. Lainaamme tarvittaessa hyttyshattuja kävelyn ajaksi.
* Lasten on oltava aikuisen seurassa.

Thank you for a very nice and personal virtual experience. I learnt a lot about nature, animals and living in the arctic conditions. Guidance was professional and very friendly.
When I visited Finland many years ago, there was a hustle and bustle of travelling around in a few days and trying to capture all in. We didn't get to see as much of the wildlife as we would have liked too.
When seen the opportunity to visit Finland online arose, I jumped at the chance as it is a beautiful country. I choose the artic wilderness experience with AT Nature because it explained all the areas to visit and the price was very good. I got to see parts of Finland I haven't seen before and The wildlife.
It is the best online show I have ever seen. Terhi explains everything before and during the experience and Terhi was a brilliant hostess. Between each video there was a small quiz to add to the experience and to help learn more about Finland and the wildlife.
It is an experience I would like to show my family. It was truly enjoyable.

This was my first ever online experience, so I was not sure what to expect. And it turned out I really enjoyed it! Terhi was a wonderful host, so knowledgeable, friendly and authentic. She did her best to make the experience interactive, which was nice. I learned a lot about arctic animals and we got some tips on how to survive as humans in the cold. Videos were also shown and you could tell that they were produced with very high quality. There were some technical issues in the beginning, but they were resolved very quickly and the rest of the experience then went smoothly. Overall, I would definitely recommend taking part in this online experience as a sneak peek into your next holiday in the arctic!

I got to learn a lot of new things (about animals mostly), even though I'm living in Lapland as well! So a good learning experience in nice winter landscape :).
